Gotika v západních Čechách (1230-1530)/ Gothic Art and Architecture in Western Bohemia/ Gotik in Westböhmen

Velkolepá výstava Gotika v západních Čechách byla vyvrcholením a syntézou mnohaletého badatelského průzkumu. Kromě monumentálního vědeckého katalogu byla vydána i tato skromnější, nicméně precizně připravená publikace, která běžnému zájemci o historii a výtvarné umění přiblíží ta nejdůležitější z vystavených děl a zároveň jej uvede do historických souvislostí. Katalog obsahuje množství barevných i černobílých reprodukcí a texty významných odborníků na tuto problematiku, dr. Jiřího Fajta, ředitele sbírky starého umění NG v Praze, a prof. Jaromíra Homolky z Ústavu dějin umění FF UK v Praze.

A spectacular exhibition Gothic Art in Western Bohemia was a climax and a synthesis of many years of research. In addition to the lapidary expert catalogue was published this small but with accuracy prepared book that familiarizes a common person interested in history and art with the most important from the works exhibited and introduces him/her into historical context. The catalogue contains a great number of colour and black-and-white reproductions and essays written by the experts in this field of knowledge Dr. Jiří Fajt, director of the collection of the ancient art of the National Gallery in Prague, and prof. Jaromír Homolka from the Art History Institution FF UK in Prague.

Die großartige Ausstellung Gotik in Westböhmen stellte einen Gipfel und eine Synthese der langjährigen Forschungstätigkeit dar. Außer dem monumentalen wissenschaftlichen Katalog erschien auch diese bescheidenere, aber präzise vorbereitete Publikation, die dem gewöhnlichen Interessenten die wichtigsten ausgestellten Werke vorstellt und den historischen Kontext erklärt. Der Katalog enthält viele schwarzweiße und farbige Reproduktionen und Texte von sachkundigen Fachleuten – von Dr. Jiří Fajt, dem Direktor der Sammlung der alten Kunst der Nationalgalerie in Prag und vom Prof. Jaromír Homolka aus dem Institut der Kunsthistorie der Philosophischen Fakultät der Karlsuniversität in Prag.
